About this exhibition

It all started with the question of what kind of history Seefeld actually has. What life was like here in the past, who lived here, and what moved the people here. When Lucia Herrmann stumbled upon the old recordings of Radio Riesbach while doing her research, she was thrilled. She listened to one broadcast after another and told her friends and neighbors about it. No one in her circle knew about this special neighborhood radio station. But everyone was curious and eager to learn more about it and find out what life was like in Seefeld in the 1980s. This gave rise to the idea of making these stories accessible to a wider audience through a small exhibition at GZ Riesbach.

The fact that this idea actually became an exhibition is largely thanks to the active support of Nadja Hesselbjerg and Carl Gustav Winthereik. Both put their heart and soul into the project, contributing their ideas and helping to develop it further. Nadja designed and implemented this website, thanks to which you can listen directly to the old broadcasts here. Carl Gustav handled the design and, with sensitivity and care, brought the radio’s original visual style into the present day.
